Validating Hydropower data with Blockchain Technology
The blockchain technology will be used to eliminate the lack of trust among the acting institutions and to enable the automated and distributed validation of hydrological data with the inhouse developed consensus algorithm know as "Proof of Hydrology".
The HydroChain shall solve the following technical and social uncertainties in particular:
- The automated validation of hydrological data
- Enabling the cooperation of competing institutions
The HydroChain is to be used to improve the accuracy of hydrological forecasting and thus also the deployment planning and generation forecasts of hydropower plants.
